I read an interesting article here about a "Christian rock" concert held at a YMCA. The commented on the discrepancy between the style of music and the message it preached. What do you all think? Is Christian rock the ultimate way to bring a timeless message to a new generation? Or is it just a sell-out, compromising the message to make it "marketable"? |
| Ronedski October 22, 2006 05:49 PM PDT Every generation thinks its music is the best, the standard. What can change is the method. Jesus' meswsage must never be compromised. I say with Paul, do whatever (Phil 4:8) so long as Christ is preached. I have light rock in my church, not because I particularly enjoy it but because I love the people who do enjoy it. It's only a selling out when Christ's identity and work are compromised. | ||
